Sousaku AI Alternative: Every Model From $10, No Subscription

If you want a Sousaku AI alternative without a monthly plan, VidCella is the closest swap. You buy a one-time credit pack from $10, the credits never expire, and every model is unlocked from the first pack. GPT Image 2, GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2.1 and Veo 3.1 Fast also cost less per generation here.

How Sousaku AI Pricing Works

Sousaku is built around subscriptions. There are four individual plans:

PlanMonthlyBilled yearlyCredits per monthModels
Free$0–100Selected models only
Standard$10$7/month ($84/year)1,500Selected models only
Premium$30$21/month ($252/year)5,000All models
Ultimate$90$63/month ($756/year)15,000All models

The sticker prices matter less than two rules in Sousaku's own FAQ.

Subscription credits don't roll over. In the FAQ's words, "unused subscription credits will be cleared before the next month's credits are issued." A quiet month means losing whatever you didn't spend.

Top-ups don't unlock models. Extra credit packs never expire (3,000 credits list at $18, currently $14.40 on sale), but the FAQ says they "do not unlock paid features." Packs of 30,000 credits and up are sold to subscribers only. So buying credits on their own doesn't get you around the plan tiers.

Picture someone who needs product images for a launch this month and nothing in November. On Sousaku they choose a plan, spend what they can, and whatever's left is cleared at renewal. Unless they remember to cancel, the next month is billed too.

Why VidCella Works as a Sousaku AI Alternative

Pay once and keep the credits

VidCella has no plans. There are three credit packs:

PackPriceCreditsPer credit
Basic$10800$0.0125
Popular$252,200$0.0114
Pro$505,000$0.0100

Credits never expire, and nothing renews. Buy a pack in March and you can spend the last of it in September. Full details are on the pricing page.

Every model from the first $10

VidCella doesn't put models behind tiers. A $10 pack opens the same catalog as a $50 pack, including GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2.1, Veo 3.1 and Seedream 5.0 Pro. The model list is everything you can run.

On Sousaku, the Free and Standard plans cover "selected models only." The full catalog starts at Premium.

Lower cost per generation on popular models

This is where the gap is easiest to measure. Each row is one generation:

GenerationSousaku AIVidCella
GPT Image 2, 1K$0.08–$0.13$0.05–$0.06
GPT Image 2.5, 1K$0.10–$0.16$0.05–$0.06
Nano Banana 2.1, 1K$0.13–$0.20$0.05–$0.06
Veo 3.1 Fast, 8-second clip$1.01–$1.60$0.50–$0.63

In every row, VidCella's highest price is below Sousaku's lowest.

Here's a concrete case. Two hundred Nano Banana 2.1 images take 1,000 VidCella credits, which is under half of the $25 Popular pack. The same batch on Sousaku takes 6,000 credits. That's more than the Premium plan's 5,000-credit month.

How we calculated this. Sousaku's credit costs come from its own model settings: base credits × resolution multiplier × seconds, minus the 50% member discount where one applies. We converted them at $0.0042 per credit (Premium or Ultimate, billed yearly) up to $0.0067 per credit (Standard, billed monthly). For GPT Image 2 and 2.5 we used Sousaku's cheapest quality tier, Low. For Veo 3.1 Fast we used 720p, its cheapest resolution. VidCella's ranges run from $0.0100 per credit (Pro pack) to $0.0125 (Basic pack).

No watermark and commercial use on every pack

On Sousaku, the commercial use license and watermark removal aren't in the Free plan. On VidCella there's no free-versus-paid split for this. The $10 Basic pack gets the same watermark-free, commercial-use output as the $50 Pro pack.

Failed generations don't cost credits

Credits are held when you submit a job. If the generation fails, the hold is released and the credits go back to your balance automatically. The refund policy covers this in full.

Who Should Switch

Choose VidCella if:

  • You create in bursts, not every day, and don't want unused credits cleared at renewal.
  • Most of your work is on GPT Image 2, GPT Image 2.5, Nano Banana 2.1 or Veo 3.1 Fast.
  • You want the full model list without a $30 monthly plan.
  • You'd rather not keep track of renewal dates.

FAQ

Does Sousaku AI have a free plan? Yes. The Free plan gives 100 credits a month on selected models. The commercial use license and watermark removal start with the paid plans.

Do VidCella credits expire? No. Credits stay in your account until you use them, whether that's next week or next year.

Is there a VidCella subscription? No. VidCella only sells one-time credit packs from $10, so there's nothing to renew or cancel.

Can I use VidCella outputs commercially? Yes. Every pack, including the $10 one, comes with watermark-free output and commercial use, subject to the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

How do I switch from Sousaku AI to VidCella? Download your Sousaku work and use up your subscription credits before the cycle resets, because they're cleared at renewal. Turn off auto-renew, then buy a VidCella pack. Most models you used on Sousaku are on VidCella under the same names, including GPT Image 2, Nano Banana 2.1, Veo 3.1 and Seedream 5.0 Pro, so your prompts carry over.
